Staples US Retail operates the Staples store chain in the United States, about 900 stores selling office supplies, technology and furniture and offering print, shipping and other services, now including Party City shop-in-shops in more than 700 stores. Staples opened the first office-supply superstore in Brighton, Massachusetts in 1986; since Sycamore Partners bought Staples in 2017, US Retail has been run as a separately managed company, headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts and led by president Marshall Warkentin.
